The site is located on the east side of 14th Av, mid-block between East Madison and Union streets. The building's footprint would be 14,288 sf.

The proposal is for a 65-foot-tall mixed-use building with 87 residential units, 2,500 sf of ground level commercial space and underground parking for 110. Preliminary design review is scheduled for next week.

The architecture firm Kohler Associates is designing the project and bulldogging the approval process for the developer, whom Kohler's Bob O'Malley declined to share with GlobeSt.com. GlobeSt.com left a message with O'Malley requesting an interview with the developer, but has not heard back. If all goes relatively smoothly, city planner Michael Jenkins says the necessary project approvals will be several months in the making.
