A spokesperson for Genetix tells GlobeSt.com that the deal represents the company's "increased investment" in the US. She says the new space includes a business center, warehouse space, sales office and a tech-support center. This is the company's first significant presence in the country. It also has a small office in Oregon.
The spokesperson points out that this location was chosen because of the area's reputation as a biotech center. "We're a biotech company and this is where most of the money is," she says. In addition, she notes that it also offers easy access to clients.
Genetix Ltd., the parent company of Genetix USA, is headquartered in Hampshire, England, and is a developer of solutions for the understanding of biological systems.
