In a prepared statement, the oldest timeshare developer in the world (1963) says it is banking on international tourists to fill its two-story, 4 1/2-room townhouses which sleep six. Hapimag has 135,000 owners who have exchange privileges for 5,500 hotel rooms in 60 countries.

Hapimag projects it will have 110,000 overnight stays per year at the new property. The venture employs 13 fulltime staffers and 35 part-timers.

Hapimag's Alexander Nette developed Orlando-Lake Berkley, the company's first in Florida. It was initially scheduled to open in May of this year.

Hapimag was founded in 1963 in Baar, canton of Zug, Switzerland as a joint stock company to develop combination hotel and apartment resorts.
