Rosenberg starts as president Nov. 11.

Rosenberg has 20 years of experience in the hotel and hospitality industry, during which time he held a variety of executive positions and oversaw development, operations, asset management, information technology, finance and legal activities.

Before joining Archstone-Smith, Rosenberg was president and chief operating officer of Winston Hotels, Inc., where he had overall operational responsibility for the company's $500-million portfolio. He also was responsible for managing 85 hotels in seven countries when he served as senior vice president of Holiday Inns Worldwide."Jim's experience in operations, personnel and marketing will enhance our ability to achieve one of our most important objectives--to set the standard for excellence in apartment operations," says R. The executive search was conducted by Ferguson Partners, a global recruiting, succession planning and assessment consultant for the real estate and financial service industries.
