Broadway Malyan said its design is inspired by successful developments in other medieval cities such as York. It aims to give a new lease of life to a number of heritage buildings, such as the Old Kilkenny Work House.
A planning application will be submitted before the end of this year and construction on the site should get underway in 2003 for completion in 2005.
