The Lighthouse is close to the Lowry arts centre and Daniel Liebeskind's Imperial War Museum, both of which have put the area on the cultural map. Now the developer is keen to play up the area's business credentials, pointing out that Manchester City Centre is only ten minutes by the Metrolink tram system from the site.
Since the completion of the Metrolink system, Salford Quays has attracted major companies such as BUPA; Royal Bank of Scotland; Barclays Bank and Avis Europe, and is soon to be home to Marks and Spencer.
Patrick Joynson, Associate Director at letting agent FPD Savills said: "The Lighthouse has been designed with productivity in mind and will bring employment to the Quays which is rapidly becoming one of the most desirable business environments in the North West."
