The new facility will be situated at Interstate 35 and Texas 6. It will serve Tractor Supply dealers in Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. The company said it will have 170 workers in 18 months and bring its investment in Waco to $10 million.

Tractor Supply closed a ground lease for a 55-acre site in the 1,320-acre Central Texas Industrial District. It's about three miles from the current one, says Stephen Hull, Tractor Supply's vice president for real estate. The site has interstate frontage, which will make it easier for trucks to ingress and egress the property. The company is taking bids on construction of the building, Hull tells GlobeSt.com.

Tractor Supply, based in Nashville, is the country's largest farm-and-ranch retail chain. It also has distribution centers inn Pendleton, IN, Omaha and Rural Hall, NC.
