While further details will be released tonight, one complicating factor is that the project's 185-acre site straddles this city's border with Elk Twp. The portion within the latter's borders will therefore require the approval of that community's planning board as well.
The tract, which was the subject of an earlier development proposal that never worked out, is currently zoned for retirement community development with a potential density of up to 700 residential units. Camco, known primarily as a residential management company, is submitting the proposal as its managing developer.
