The borrower, Highlands Ranch University Park LLC is an entity formed by developer Gerald M. Biehl's General Management Real Estate Services. The five-building University Park Shopping Center is located at 9370 S. Colorado Blvd. within the development owned by Shea Homes. Highlands Ranch is the largest master-planned community in the state as well as one of the largest in the US.
Financing was arranged by NorthMarq Capital senior vice president Gordon Mickelson and senior investment analyst Terri Odenweller.
The company services a loan portfolio of $11 billion on behalf of 50 institutional investors. It is headquartered in Minneapolis with regional offices in Denver, Austin, Los Angeles, Kansas City, Phoenix, St. Louis, Chicago, San Diego, San Francisco, Dallas and Houston.
