The property along the Kennedy Expressway also was involved in a foreclosure suit brought by LaSalle Natl Bank late last year seeking payment of its $5.6-million mortgage debt, according to court records.
Epic/Savage principal Joel Friedland says the firm received a "flurry of offers" from prospective buyers. "The building was on the market less than two months before Park Supply became interested in leasing the property," he adds.
Cushman & Wakefield represented Park Supply Co. Although lease rates were not disclosed, asking rates for warehouse space on the Northwest Side range beyond $5 per sf.
