Dirk Koopman, owner of the property, confirms for GlobeSt.com that a Krispy Kreme franchisee has contracted to lease the entire 48,000-sf site and will build a 4,500-sf doughnut shop there.
Franchisee Kevin Bruzzone tells GlobeSt.com the deal is contingent on him obtaining the necessary entitlements to raze the existing structure and build anew. "It's a lease we would normally not have announced because we do not yet have the entitlements," he says. "It's more than a letter of intent, but there's a lot of time between now and the execution of that lease."
