The Philadelphia-based Binswanger has been opening new US offices, but says it came to Houston just for Conine & Robinson. Principals R. Dennis Conine and Stewart O. Robinson will lead the team from the existing office at 700 Louisiana in the CBD.
The marquee will change to Binswanger Conine & Robinson/CBB, but not the head count of the support staff, John Young, Binswanger's president of the national division, tells GlobeSt.com. The Houston team, though, will be working closely with Binswanger's established Dallas office to bolster the menu of services available for tenants and buyers.
Conine says the advantages to the alliance are tied to Binswanger's international platform and the ability to provide corporate real estate services nationwide. Conine & Robinson previously relied upon other brokerage houses, including Binswanger, when a client needed services in other US cities or foreign countries.
Young confides that Binswanger has come to Houston just for Conine & Robinson. Key to that decision is a shared client roster with names such as ExxonMobil, Reliant Energy, Shell Corp. and Duke Energy.
The Conine & Robinson principals have a combined 25 years of extensive real estate experience. Together, they have closed more than $800 million in transactions plus built up a long-term client base.
The Houston partnership is part of "a sweeping expansion program" being undertaken by Binswanger to penetrate major US markets that are primed for growth. In recent years, Binswanger has added offices in Los Angeles, Atlanta, Chicago, Seattle, Northern Virginia, Minneapolis and Northern New Jersey.
