Yoon says the Strawberry center is on 3.45 acres at 1000-1096 Rosecrans Ave., on the southwest corner of Vermont and Rosecrans avenues. The center is anchored by Kentucky Fried Chicken, Subway, and Jack in the Box. Yoon represented the buyer, while Jonathan Kaji of Kaji & Associates represented the seller.
Yoon says the property has significant long-term potential because Gardena is a mature community with many barriers to entry for new development. In addition, she says, Strawberry Square enjoys a prime position at a major local intersection.
In a deal in nearby Wilmington, Yoon notes, Joseph Chung LLC bought a 100% leased retail center on a 21,000-sf parcel at 744 Wilmington Ave., on the southwest corner of Anaheim and Wilmington avenues, from Rich Development Co. for $1.7 million. Tenants at the center include Burger King and Super Laundry.
Yoon represented Chung, while Brent Cunningham and Richard Rizika of CB Richard Ellis represented the seller.
