Dobrott, based in the company's Irvine office, formerly was a senior vice president responsible only for development and acquisitions in California. Dobrott will lead the Gale Co.'s new investment activities in California as well as the roll-out of services such as property management and construction.
Dobrott was one of a number of executive changes announced by Gale as part of the new focus on California, where the company has operated for five years. In the other changes, the company appointed Scott Lanni as manager of development and acquisitions and named Jonathan Thorpe as senior vice president of finance, an expanded role in the corporate office. Patrick Murphy will continue as a partner of the Gale Co., reporting to Stan Gale, chairman and CEO.
The Gale Co. is headquartered in Florham Park, NJ, and maintains regional offices here and New York City, Boston and the United Kingdom. It owns a global portfolio of properties exceeding 45 million sf and provides investment, leasing, advisory, construction, development and management services.
Since 1997, the company has acquired more than $250 million in real estate projects on the West Coast. In addition, it has developed, leased and sold one million sf of new properties and completed more than 725,000 sf of corporate build-to-suits in California.
