Insignia/ESG director Cliff Johnston tells GlobeSt.com that the national auto parts retailer was looking for site in the Tempe market when the printing firm opened up the space in its new building. "They were very pleased that NAPA liked the space they had to offer," Johnston said. The auto parts distributor is by March in the building located at the junction of Kyrene and Elliott Roads, he said.

The building was constructed to house Ahwatukee Printing's subsidiary, Alphagraphics, which will occupy a portion of the structure. Johnston said the firm oversized the structure with the intention of leasing out the space.

In addition to Johnston, the lease was crafted by managing directors Dave Seeger and Karsten Peterson and associate Mark Gustin, who represented the building owner. NAPA was self-represented.
