The properties totalling 162,700 sf are multi-let on a variety of lease lengths to tenants including Tesco, Boots and Abbey National, generating a rent of £2,368,750 ($3.9 million) per annum.

USS director Guy Williams said: "We have been extremely pleased with the performance of these properties. The disposal allows us to adjust the weightings due to our extensive development programme: extending Telford Shopping Centre to more than one million sq ft; developing Trinity Quarter in Leeds; and, in partnership with Grosvenor, Grand Arcade in Cambridge."

DTZ Debenham Tie Leung acted on behalf of USS and Morgan Williams represented Scottish Mutual. La Salle Investment Management provides USS with portfolio investment and asset management advice.
