Pacific bought the building from the Jonathan Manufacturing Co. for close to $2.3 million, according to John Brittingham of Colliers Seeley International in Anaheim, CA. Brittingham and Colliers Seeley's Clyde Staff represented the seller, while Jack Faris of Voit Commercial in Anaheim represented Pacific Collision Center.
Brittingham tells GlobeSt.com that the building is a 36,000-sf, single-story, concrete tilt-up structure, built in 1963, that was empty at sale time. The seller had owned it for about 12 years.
While leasing of industrial buildings remains slow in Fullerton as in other markets, Brittingham says, "the market for smaller buildings for sale is still very active" because of low interest rates that make purchases competitive against leasing for small tenants.
