Dillard's opened in the Greenbrier Mall in 1997, and company officials wasted no time expanding the store's shopping space by opening up a corresponding space the next year in another of the mall's anchor locations, which had been vacated by a Belk's store. "Our experience in Virginia is still rather young," Dillard's Julie J. Bull shares with GlobeSt.com. "We've gone from no locations just a few years ago to 10 locations. It underscores our commitment to the state." Currently, the retail chain has nearly 340 stores across 29 states.
