Shillington, who represented the buyer, tells GlobeSt.com that the fully occupied structure was built in the 1970s. He says AC Centers Ltd., which represented itself in the sale, had owned the single-story center for about 10 years. The shopping center's tenants include a Jo-Ann fabric store, Sav-A-Lot grocery store and Burke's Outlet store.
The center is near the corner of Florida Avenue and Yale Street, the former site of a Vons grocery store and other businesses that have since been replaced by the new tenants. Shillington tells GlobeSt.com that the buyer was in a 1031 Exchange with proceeds from a land sale.
