Stuart Scott of DAUM's Ventura County office says VPI is scheduled to move this month from an existing facility in Camarillo into the new headquarters at 975 Flynn Rd., where the company will employ 100 workers. Scott represented the seller of the building, Cam Property Partnership of Westlake Village while Bob Boyer of CB Richard Ellis Inc. represented the buyer.
Donna Stewart, a VPI vice president, says the company needed more space because it doubled its sales in 2002 and expects further growth this year. VPI markets systems used by police and fire departments, private corporations and other organizations for recording and archiving telephone calls and other information.
VPI's new headquarters is a concrete tilt-up structure featuring 23,566 sf of office space, 11,759 sf of which is in a mezzanine area. The building occupies 1.6 acres and the site includes 109 parking spaces.
