Rosey Miller of Julien J. Studley tells GlobeSt.com that the foundation will occupy the entire 21st floor at the building, where it has been since 1993. Miller represented the foundation, while Mitch Stokes and Bob Safai of Madison Partners represented the building owner, the Irving, TX-based Archon Group, which maintains a Los Angeles office.
Miller says the organization had two years remaining on its former lease. He expects the foundation, which funds AIDS research and treatment, will move into the expansion space within the next six months, after tenant improvements are completed.
The 6255 Sunset building is a 22-story, 305,000-sf structure that was built in 1971 and renovated extensively in 1986. It is 70% occupied.
