Dixon Consulting Co. is the name on the office door, the one at his Dallas home. But, he's basically divvying his time these days between Mohr Partners Inc. and CB Richard Ellis Inc.'s Dallas office. "I'm with two good groups," Dixon says, "and I'm enjoying what I am doing."

At Mohr, Dixon's consulting role calls for developing management strategies for corporations and teaming with Rene Larrave on an in-house program, Project Phoenix. At CBRE, the 30-year professional is "the coach," a strategist tasked with rallying the brokers and honing their skills. His client roster also includes two brokers who've independently hired him to polish their styles and possibly mentor their ways to the top.

The paper shuffling is gone from Dixon's work week, unlike his days as one-time head of the Dallas office for Cushman & Wakefield of Texas Inc. and the most recent stint at Cawley Wilcox. Now, he tells GlobeSt.com, "I get to do all the fun things that I felt I was good at doing.
