The development is a joint venture between Byers Street Properties headed by Wally Hultin and Bob Johnston of Kahn Construction. The four-story building is across from the north terminal of the Regional Transportation District's light rail station at East 29th Avenue and Downing Street. The project includes underground parking and 8,500-sf of retail space on the main level.
Units range from 700-sf to 1,500-sf. They include 10-foot ceilings, exposed ductwork, and a great room with a minimum of separation. Units are priced from the mid $150,000s to $325,000.
The Whittier Neighborhood Community Center will occupy 2,500-sf of the main level retail space. A grocery store also will take 4,000-sf. The remaining 2,000-sf is for sale or lease.
