North Main Ventures Inc. of Fort Worth acquired 921 Main St. from Lincoln Securities Co. The asset was on the market about four months at an asking price of $300,000. Negotiations got the final price fairly close to the ask for the one-off sale, Will Martin, a director with NAI Stoneleigh Huff Brous McDowell in Fort Worth, tells GlobeSt.com.

Martin and NAI principal Jerry Alexander represented the seller, who had decided it simply was time to sell. The building, a 1960s vintage, attracted several offers, but North Main Ventures had the highest on the table, Martin confides.

"It's really where the building sits," Martin adds. It is one mile north of the RadioShack headquarters project and Fort Worth's CBD.

North Main Ventures used in-house representation to broker the purchase. Its top-to-bottom, inside-and-out makeover is scheduled to take two months to complete.
