Lowe, who formerly held the title of senior vice president, is now responsible for new development and major redevelopment activities for the company's hospitality and resort community projects. Lowe, son of Lowe Enterprises founding shareholder and CEO Robert J. Lowe, joined the company in 1992. Before that he was with Copley Real Estate Advisors, where he was involved in acquisition, asset management and portfolio management.
Lowe's new post was announced by John B. Platt III, CEO of Destination Development Corp., which currently is involved in the development of more than $1.4 billion of hospitality and resort community projects nationwide. The firm's projects include the development of the 210-room Estancia La Jolla Hotel and Conference Center in La Jolla, CA and Ocean Hammock, a resort golf and beach community in Flagler County, FL. Other recent projects include the redevelopment of the historic Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego and the development of the Reserve, a master planned community in Indian Wells, CA.
