Chuck Wilson of Colliers Seeley's Anaheim, CA office says the trucking firm plans to use the land for storage and other operations. Whittier, CA-based Poot bought the acreage from Southern California-based R&R Real Estate, with Wilson representing both the buyer and the seller.

Wilson says Poot, an independent trucker, chose the site for its central location near markets in Orange and Los Angeles counties. The Santa Fe Springs area is part of the Mid-Counties submarket, which is popular with transportation firms like Poot as well as with warehouse operators and logistics firms. Such companies say the Mid-Cities market provides them with a central location for deliveries throughout Orange and LA counties because it is close to markets in both counties and offers quick access to the I-5, 605 and 91 freeways.
