In the first phase, which ended August 2001, the auditorium received freshpaint, new carpeting, new theater seating, and new lighting. At the sametime, the College added the new Isom Atrium, which houses a café.

The second phase began during the summer of 2002 and involved criticalrepairs to the building's foundation, which had been sinking for many years.Over the last few years, large cracks appeared in the auditorium's walls.Over the last six months, workers lifted the sunken portion of theauditorium and constructed a totally new foundation around half of thebuilding. They also repaired the cracks in the outer walls and installed newmasonry.

Constructed in 1978 and named for its primary benefactor, the WestsideCentral Church of Christ in Detroit, the auditorium hosts daily assembly,the Rochester College Theatre, concerts, and several seminars throughout theyear.

The college is also constructing a new 25,000-sf academic center, and hasplans to build a new residence hall for 110 students and a 43,000-sfgymnasium as part of its "Catch the Vision" fundraising program.
