The store is co-owned by Dylan Lauren, daughter of fashion designer Ralph Lauren, and Jeff Rubin, creator of FAO Schweetz at FAO Schwartz. They will cut the ribbon in the summer at the Simon Properties' mall along Westheimer Road in West Houston.

Karen Bellantoni, senior managing director of New York City-based Robert F. Kutterman & Associates LLC, represented the tenants along with Victor Fandel, owner of Fandel Retail Group. The Indianapolis-based Simon used in-house representative, Rob Cox, to bargain its terms.

The owners were "looking for a location that evoked an image similar to its own and the Houston Galleria truly fit the bill," Bellantoni said in a press release. She says the "destination retailer" liked the Galleria's high traffic and diverse demographics. Dylan's Candy Bar's flagship address is 60th Street and Third Avenue in Manhattan.
