USCO Distribution Services penned a long-term contract for its 15-year location, says Gary Lindsey, senior vice president in Dallas for Grubb & Ellis Co. He and Grubb & Ellis' Robert Fulford represented USCO Distribution in the negotiations for 2271 French Settlement Rd.
Lindsey tells GlobeSt.com that the tenant, whose prior pact was set to expire in May, has surveyed the market for several years running, but then stays put with an extension. Triple Freeport was "meaningful for them to stay there," Lindsey adds.
USCO Distribution uses the warehouse as a general accounts center. Its parent is Hamden, CT-based parent is USCO Logistics, which is part of Kuehne & Nagel International AG in Schindellegi, Switzerland.
John Gorman of Dallas-based Holt Cos. represented the building owner, Principal Financial Group of Des Moines. Turnpike Distribution Center 26 is one of 10 that Principal Financial owns in the Turnpike Distribution Center, an assembly of large warehouses fronting Interstate 30 west of Dallas.
