The previous owners acquired the building in August 2001 for $1.45 million, according to property records.

In unrelated North Side retail deals, South River, NJ-based Lot Stores Inc. has expanded into the Chicago market with a 5,615-sf lease at Howard & Western Shopping Center in West Rogers Park, while Seattle-based Washington Mutual has taken 3,260 sf at Riverview Plaza. Oakbrook Terrace-based Mid-America Asset Management Inc. represented the owners of the two shopping centers. Stephanie Kraft of Chicago Commercial represented Lot Stores while Bob Aranyi of Baum Realty represented Washington Mutual.
