The two new companies joining the park's roster are Stolo Cabinets Inc. and food distributor Elite Associates, both of which are relocating from smaller, antiquated buildings within two miles of the 535,000-sf industrial park.
Stolo, a cabinet manufacturer based in Brea for 15 years, spent $2.9 million for a 33,742-sf building at 860 Challenger St. Jack Faris of Voit's Anaheim office says the building is 15,000 sf larger so there's room to expand and it's more contemporary than the cabinet maker's former facility. Faris and Mike DiPeppino of Voit's Anaheim Metro office represented the buyer. Zehner and Louis Tomaselli of Voit represented seller, Voit Development Co.
Elite Associates also acquired its building with growth in mind, according to Zehner, who teamed with Tomaselli to represent Voit Development Co. in the sale. Mark Hintergardt of Lee & Associates negotiated for the buyer of 875 Challenger St.
Elite paid $1.9 million for a 13,600-sf warehouse and distribution building, which will be used as the Southern California staging point. The company distributes products for leading food manufacturers, including General Mills, ConAgra, Ghirardelli, Dole and the Cheesecake Factory.
Zehner says five buildings have now closed escrow since the Brea Business Park project delivered in May 2002. Another five buildings are scheduled to close escrow by the end of March, leaving six available for sale.
