PBS&J, a general contractor in Houston, took 2,614 sf for a new office at Cross Continents I at 3838 N. Sam Houston Parkway E. The contractor signed a three-year lease, Kristen Porter with the Houston office of Grubb & Ellis Co. tells GlobeSt.com. The firm is occupying temporary space in the building while finish-out continues in a plan to occupy in the coming weeks.
Porter and Steve Rocher, also in Grubb & Ellis' Houston office, represented building owner, BMS Management in the lease negotiations. Rich Grubel, part of the general contractor's team, negotiated its side of the deal.
The 21-year-old building has 117,394 sf. The asking rate is $14.50 per sf.
Across town in Westchase, Houston-based Community Home Loan opened a new office in 2,560 sf at 11000 Richmond Ave. The lender signed a three-year lease in talks between the Rocher-Porter team and the tenant's rep, Chad Baker of the Houston office for Dallas-based Staubach Co.
