"Now is the perfect time to build," said Robert Cook president of Product Support Services Inc., citing low interest rates and construction competition as clear benefits for building in today's economic climate. The project will rise on 5.6 acres, but the firm also bought an abutting six acres for future expansion in Gateview, a high-tech business park in one of the region's hardiest submarkets.

Product Support Services currently leases flex space in the DFW Trade Center at 4051 Highway 21 North in Dallas. Key to the decision to build was securing a project site, much like its leased site, with close proximity to the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport and positioning in a free trade zone.

Pritchard Associates of Dallas is the developer for the facility designed by Azimuth: Architecture Inc., also Dallas. Architect John Taylor is principal in charge of the design team. The rest of the Dallas-area project team consists of McFadden & Miller Inc, general contractor; Hunt & Joiner Inc., structural engineer; Steven M. Rahn Inc., landscape architecture; and Jones & Carter Inc., civil engineer.

The 240-employe Product Support Services, founded in 1997, has been tagged as one of the fastest-growing companies in Dallas-Fort Worth. It's also considered one of the largest electronics repair operations in the nation, holding warranty contracts for brands such as Nokia, Motorola, Sony/Ericsson and Audiovox. The firm is a division of the privately held CAI Holdings Inc.
