Fouy Ly of Sperry Van Ness says the 17-year-old center at 2530 E. Amar Rd. was 96% occupied at the time of the sale. Ly represented the sellers, who had owned the three-building, single-story center for about a year. The buyers were represented by Angela Yen of Regency Realty.

Ly says the buyers were looking to invest in a high-quality property in a desirable area with a diverse mix of tenants, while the sellers were in a 1031 Exchange. Canyon Center is along the highly traveled Amar Road near Nogales Drive, in a portion of the San Gabriel Valley close to residential and commercial developments. The center is occupied by a diverse tenant mix, including service businesses and restaurants such as Salo-Salo Restaurant, Action Cafe and Korean Tofu House.
