The accounting firm of Turnage & Co. went from the 13th floor to the 15th in the prestigious high-rise. The 7,154-sf lease was crafted by Scott A. Morse and Scott M. Jessen, both with Dallas-based Morse Co., and building owner, Equity Office Properties, in-house representative, Michael Dudley. The space trade-off, Morse tells GlobeSt.com, brought more efficiency, newer finish-out and a slight expansion from office space that it occupied for the last 15 years.
Settling into its first office is Verbatim Careers Institute, which signed a five-year lease for 3,524 sf at the Atrium in North Creek, a class B office property at 2929 N. Central Expressway in Richardson. Evan Reynolds, president of Plano-based Reynolds Co., represented the new school. Building owner Granite Properties of Dallas had Mark Harrison, leasing manager, do its talking.
Verbatim Careers Institute, founded by a former court reporting school owner, focuses on software training for dictation and TV captioning applications in the advanced voice recognition field.
At 8080 Central Expressway in Dallas, Ameriquest Mortgage also took 2,646 sf for the long term. Jim Lob and Brian Cheek, both with Grubb & Ellis Co.'s Dallas office, represented the tenant while Ben Parker of Equity Office Properties negotiated its terms.
