Novak has leased the entire building at 17032 Armstrong, which is in an area of R&D and flex buildings. The new facility is a freestanding corner building of single-story, concrete tilt-up construction. constructed in 1973. Industry figures show the availability rate for flex space is about 14% in Irvine.
Novak, established more than 20 years ago, is a manufacturer and distributor of remote controls and a host of related products for miniature race cars and other remote-controlled vehicles that are popular with hobbyists. Besides manufacturing and distribution, the company's operations include product design and development at its Irvine facilities.
