David Sherman and Marc Trevisan of Insignia/ESG in Saddle Brook, NJ represented the feds in the transaction. The owner of the building, the Florham Park, NJ-based Gale Co., was represented in-house by Tim Greiner, vice president of leasing. One Newark Center is a 22-story, 428,989-sf class A tower located downtown in the heart of New Jersey's largest city.
Gale officials say they are seeing significant interest for space that is currently available on four contiguous floors within the building. Most of that interest is coming from national law firms, New York-based insurance companies and other government agencies, according to Robert Martie, senior vice president of leasing for Gale.
"The level of activity in Newark has been overwhelming in comparison to other New Jersey submarkets," according to Martie.
