The new Akzo space is located at 7300 E. Slauson Ave., according to Doug Marshall of the Klabin Co.'s Los Angeles office. Marshall and Corfac International associate Sim Doughtie of King Industrial Realty in Atlanta represented Akzo Nobel, with Bernie Romano of Inco Commercial of La Mirada, CA, representing the property owner, the Woods Family Trust. Marshall says the new facility will consolidate Los Angeles distribution activities for the coatings company, which makes refinishing products for vehicles. The location employs about 20 workers for paint distribution and blending.
Marshall, who has located several facilities for the company, said Akzo Nobel is a Dutch-based firm with its US headquarters in Atlanta. The company's Commerce facility is a concrete tilt-up structure, featuring 4,000 sf of office space and on-site parking for 25 vehicles.
