The buyer of record is Trade Center JV Ltd., a Houston investment group that already has leased the property at 955 S. Trade Center Parkway for the long term to another truck maintenance operation. William J. Byrd with the Houston office of Colliers International tells GlobeSt.com that the property was on the market for about 18 months at an asking price of $700,000, which included an undeveloped four acres that the buyer took a pass on acquiring. He confides that another buyer has put the excess land under contract.

Byrd and Michael J. Taetz, also in Colliers' Houston office, represented the buyer. Ryder, which shifted the operations to nearby Wallisville, used an in-house team to negotiate the building sale.
