Mark Wood of the Houston office of Henry S. Miller Commercial tells GlobeSt.com that finish-out has started for Aveva Inc.'s new office, which will be ready to occupy in the second quarter. The firm, based in Cambridge, England, is relocating from within the Westchase submarket. He says Aveva looked at a number of buildings in the area, but the Highlands Insurance building offered an image upgrade as well as competitive terms. The 14-story, 310,296-sf building has an asking rate of $21 per sf.
Wood and Rollie Andre, also in the Dallas-based Henry S. Miller Commercial's Houston office, represented Aveva in the lease negotiations. The property owner, Alder Properties, was represented by Mike Hackett of PM Realty Group in Houston.
Also in Westchase, Fidelity National Information Solutions Inc. leased 1,973 sf at Richmond Plaza One at 9800 Richmond Ave. The 176,066-sf building's quoted rate is $16 per sf.
Fidelity National Information Solutions Inc. is a Santa Barbara, CA-based information technology solutions provider for the real estate industry. Steve Rocher and Kristen Porter, a Grubb & Ellis Co. team in Houston, negotiated the transaction.
