Beck's Prime Eatery took a 1.7-acre parcel in the Grogan's Mill Village Center in a plan for a fourth-quarter opening of a 2,800-sf restaurant. The Woodlands Operating Co. is the seller.

Jeff Beard, Woodlands' in-house broker, tells GlobeSt.com that the parcel once housed the Woodlands Information Center, an early to mid-1970s building that was torn down after the operation was shifted to another part of the community. According to Beard, many restaurateurs were considered for the tract, but Beck's award-winning, environmentally conscious restaurant design played a major role in the final decision. Fred J. Heyne III of the Heyne Co. of Houston represented Beck's.

Also at Grogan's Mill, TGF Precision Haircutters of Houston opened a 2,000-sf shop under a City Cuts banner, and a 2,000-sf Precision Haircutters store at Windvale Village Center, a Randall's-anchored, 140,000-sf center along College Park Drive. TGF used in-house representation to negotiate both deals.
