The company is leasing the facility to Veridian on a long-term basis. Veridian explored 24 potential sites in southeast Michigan as well as Ohio before determining the Washtenaw Business Park as the best site option based on a number of factors, including suitability for business, cost and physical location, said DeMattia officials.
State and township tax abatements also had an impact on the decision.Veridian provides information-based systems andservices to the U.S. government, specializing in national security andintelligence programs. Veridian operates at more than 50 locations andemploys more than 6,500 technology professionals.
