D'Alesandro, who starts in four days, was vice president and Eastern regional manager for Dallas-based Terrabrook since 1996. He is coming in from Reston, VA. Terrabrook CFO Mark Scroggins was not available before press time for comment on D'Alesandro's exit from the firm.

With D'Alesandro taking over, the Woodlands also promoted Alex Sutton, Tim Welbes and Eric Wojner to senior vice presidencies for land, residential and commercial development. The Woodlands Operating Co. is a limited partnership between Dallas-based Crescent Real Estate Equities and Morgan Stanley.

A former employee of Mobil Land Development Corp., D'Alesandro is credited with developing more than three million sf at the Reston Town Center, a mixed-use project with 80-plus retail venues and 1.8 million sf of office space. The Woodlands says that kind of background will be key to its town center project, now under construction.
