Tree Data should be moving in very shortly, Jay Kyle with the Houston office of Grubb & Ellis Co. tells GlobeSt.com. Kyle says the office space is perfectly laid out for Tree Data's training needs, including the location of the classrooms. Armonk, NY-based IBM used the office for its training department, but shifted the function to Dallas in a realignment of the Houston operations. To date, Kyle and Grubb & Ellis' Ace Schlameus subleased about 37,000 sf for IBM in the 350,00-sf building owned by Shorenstein Co. of San Francisco. Another 40,000 sf remains up for grabs. The 22-year-old building's asking rate is $15 per sf.
