The tenant is the industry forum for the development and promotion of standards for the wholesale and retail natural gas and electricity markets. Tenant representative Napoleon Palacios of the Houston office of American Commercial Real Estate tells GlobeSt.com that the board is coming from office space at 1000 Louisiana St. Move-in will take place at the end of the month.
The board looked at many options around town. It was close to signing elsewhere and then negotiations fell apart, Palacios says. Within days, the agreement with the Shidler Group, owner of 1301 Fannin St., was struck, he adds.
Palacios says a selling point are the three conference rooms since the board holds several meetings a month. Another top selling point is the cafeteria, which caters. "It was the building's amenities," he says of the deal-making decision.
