The 118 units are loft-style apartments with brick walls with exposed interior timber beams. The four-story project at 200-300 E. Fifth Ave., next to Naperville's Metra commuter station, also includes 94,500 sf of retail and office space. The School of Performing Arts and restaurants are among the tenants.

The former Kroehler furniture factory is in Naperville's historic district, which includes other buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places. A Skokie-based partnership acquired the property in 1998 for $11.25 million.
