Panattoni Starts 235,000-SF Manufacturing Building for Simmons

Simmons Manufacturing has already committed to lease 150,000 sf of the building. The rest remains available.

Panattoni Construction is developing the building. John Nibler of Panattoni Construction did not return phone calls seeking further comment on the ultimate size of the park, a development timeline and asking rental rates.

A division of Simmons Co., Simmons Manufacturing makes and distributes the Beautyrest, BackCare, and DeepSleep mattress lines. The company will use the facility for distribution of its products to major retailers throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Alaska.

Simmons currently employs approximately 140 production and office associates at a similar facility in Auburn. Upon completion of the Sumner building, Simmons will relocate their offices from Auburn.
