WinCup's warehouse is near the company's manufacturing operations, and a move might have resulted in increased transportation costs, according to Equis Corp., whose brokers represented WinCup in the renewal.
Shaw Industries, a Dalton, GA-based flooring manufacturer owned by Berkshire Hathaway, is relocating its Chicago area operations from Bensenville.
VP Kane Keirnan and associate VP Marat Safir of Equis represented WinCup in negotiations with CenterPoint Properties Trust, which has owned the warehouse since December 1993. Trammell Crow VP Jason M. West and principal Wit Truitt represented Shaw Industries in negotiations with Interstate Partners.
Closer to O'Hare, Applied Industrial Technologies leased 4,050 sf of warehouse space at 1335 Louis Ave., Elk Grove Village. Staubach Co. associate Trevor Ragsdale represented Applied Industrial, while Roger Baum of LBN Management represented ownership.
