The building, owned by Fred B. Barbara of Oak Brook, is basically a garage, with a 1,122-sf office and 788 sf of storage space.

Also on the South Side, the city is selling 1.5 acres at 1611 S. Stewart Ave. for $416,700 so Sterling Bay Cos. can add 169 parking spaces for its 416,000-sf industrial building next door at 329 W. 18th St. The current site has just 214 parking spaces for 402 employees, according to the department of planning and development.
