Barry Walshe of Voit's Anaheim office says Lakewood Dental will open its third office at the location. Walshe, who represented the buyer, says the dental group had been searching for five months for a place to expand its practice. The 4346 South Street property was not on the market when Voit first spotted it as a potential new site for Lakewood Dental, Walshe says, but the center's owner, a local private investor, accepted the dentists' offer after some negotiations.
Lakewood Plaza Dental Group will occupy approximately 20% of the property. The remaining 13,000-plus sf is leased to local area businesses. The property, which was built in the 1980s, is situated on the high traffic corner of South Street and Lakewood Boulevard and is at the confluence of the 710, 91, 605 and 405 freeways. Burton Young of Sperry Van Ness represented the seller.
